Revolutionary War period wedding dress

I enjoy introducing our preserved, encased wedding dress worn by Willis Nobbs Hall during the revolutionary war. She married Dr. Robert Hall, a surgeon in the continental army in 1776.

This beautiful, green brocade dress is a surprise to our guests who, of course, expect to see a white dress. White dresses did not become in vogue until the time of Queen Victoria in the 1800s.  Our dress has been radiocarbon dated by the Smithsonian Institute which adds to the value and pride showing this unique dress.
